Tweetie Holds My Tweet Deck Hand

My iPhone has been one of the most amazing tools I have ever purchased. But finding a the best Twitter applications has been somewhat of a challenge after being spoiled by the robust features I have found in TweetdDeck. Some of these include easily seeing my @replies, DM's, and watching #trends, and saving Twitter searches.

Thanks to the twitter community and an an educational discussion from the Diggnation guys, I bit the bullet and dropped the $2.99 on Tweetie.

48 hours later, and its time to tell everyone I know to stop messing around with the others and get Tweetie. Tweetie, just like TweetDeck, hits it out of the park. The crew at atebits have done a fantastic job of thinking it through from the user's point of view.

I recommend that you stop reading now, and just buy it! That is how sold I am on this great little app.

Just a few features to note

  • Handle multiple twitter accounts.
  • View your timeline, replies, direct messages and favorites.
  • Browse your friends and followers.
  • Post new tweets, retweet
  • Reply directly to tweets and send direct messages.
  • Follow and unfollow people.
  • Mark tweets as favorites.
  • Navigate reply chains.
  • Inline web browser.
  • Post links with automatic link shrinking via bit.ly.
  • Upload pictures to twitpic.com.
  • Update your twitter location.
  • View twitter trends and perform custom searches.
  • Save your favorite searches.
  • Implements the full twitter API.
  • Uses secure connection (https).
  • Go to User shortcut
  • Nearby search
  • Themes and adjustable font size
  • Bookmarklet support

The only thing I'd like to see more from Tweetie is utilizing iphone's push to let me know when I have @ replies or DM's.  But this goes for most of the iphone apps out there, and really doesn't hold me back from telling everyone I know to skip today's mocha and get Tweetie for their iphone right now!

To be honest, I had not heard of this addon until today and I am definitely impressed. The functionality it offers for such a relatively low price is startling to say the least. Thanks for sharing this information, I would not have heard of Tweetie otherwise.

Hublots meteoric rise in the industry has been a truly well-managed accomplishment and I would like to congratulate Jean-Claude for this. There exists an energy, creativity and dedication to perfection about Hublot which sits very well with us and I could not think of a better brand with which to begin a latest chapter in Formula 1s enduring association with luxurious wrist watches.replica burberry watches
